Valco recognises the need to keep at the forefront of technical advancements in all aspects of building services design, installation and testing; including mechanical & electrical plant and equipment, low carbon technologies, natural servicing strategies; and the instruments required to measure and fine-tune the performance of these systems.

Technical Staff: Since inception, our philosophy of training and developing our staff to Commissioning Specialists Association (CSA) standards has allowed Valco to develop Building Service Commissioning Teams of industry leading expertise and professionalism; capable of addressing all facets of the building services systems. This specialised skills base enables us to balance and test air/water systems, establish plant capacity and conformance to design, along with investigative and associated problem solving; complete with comprehensive management reports.

Valco staff have the flexibility and enthusiasm to respond to the ever changing demands faced in providing high quality indoor climate.

Our Commissioning Engineers specialise in carrying out commissioning and proportional balancing to air and water systems; typically variable and constant volume, VAV, CAV, fan coils, induction systems, chilled beams, thermal wheels to a wide range of commercial, educational and laboratory /clean rooms including setting up and validating pressure control regimes.

Our teams ensure systems are brought into balance to achieve design flow rates within tolerances specified by the designer, and therefore work efficiently.

All measurements are documented on Valco Consulting Ltd bespoke and automated suite of Commissioning Test Sheets along with a detailed report of how systems were commissioned with recommendations to resolve any system deficiencies.

Our commissioning activities follow CIBSE guidelines and BSRIA application guides to meet the project specific requirements and industry best practice. Part L Building Regulations seek to improve the performance of buildings through better commissioning, this criteria achieves BREEAM credits with the aim to achieve optimum performance under actual occupancy conditions.
